Boardwalk at Night Scenes

The boardwalk has long been an iconic place to visit in Ocean City, Maryland and last night I made another trip down to capture a few more shots for this boardwalk collection I have made this week. There is just a small time window to capture shots with the deep blue sky of twilight just after the sun has set and simultaneously have the lights on the boardwalk come on. This time I decided to stand right in the middle of the boardwalk and watch people move around me, while trying to capture shots. It was a bit of a challenge to get clean shots with no people cut off on the edges as it was a busy night.

These tricycles seem to be a big hit in the early season. There was a group of them weaving their way through the crowd.

After the deep blue sky faded I turned my attention to iconic store fronts for some interesting images.
Today is my last full day at he beach until the end of the month and it has been a beautiful week, clear blue skies, cool nights and sunny days! And some fun photo ops!

This image I made as the daylight was fading. It is the same location I shot the night before and enjoyed the "stage" so I went back there and waited for something interesting to happen. I will go back there again. I think it is a great spot for another series idea....
