Don't miss this fun weekend, shooting the hot rods and classic cars. Join me for a three day weekend at the beach shooting the hot rods and the sea! Learn how to see light and shape and shadow in these great cars, while making an appropriate exposure and fabulous composition.
We will even fit in a sunrise shoot of the ocean! Plan to arrive on Friday by 1:00 pm.
The Details:
Friday:
October 11, at 2:00pm After a short meetingin Bethany Beach and an early dinner at 3:00pm at The Cottage Cafe, Bethany Beach, De. our first shoot will be Friday night at 5:00pm in Ocean City, Md.
Saturday:
October 12 in the morning we will make it out to the beach for Sunrise and shoot the cars on the boardwalk in Ocean City. Then we hit the streets to catch some cars in action. After breakfast you will have a little time on your own to download and process images. We will meet again, at 1:00pm and review and process images together, then we will head out for more hot rod shooting in the late afternoon.
Sunday:
October 13 we will plan a sunrise shoot on the beach and catch some great morning light and more rods on the street.
Lodging
Lodging is not included in the workshop fee.

Equipment
An DSLR camera is recommended. Since we will be shooting in low light conditions a tripod is a must! Bring: an assortment of lenses, a laptop, and down loading devide, to use for processing and editing images for the critiques. A thumb drive is also recommended to transfer your images from your laptop. It is also recommended to bring a cable release or remote to trigger your shutter during low light conditions.
Clothing
The weather is unpredictable, so be prepared for wet and cool/cold conditions. Appropriate footwear for the beach at the waters edge might be rain boots or over the knee waders. I don’t expect you to get in the water with your camera but rain boots will keep your feet dry and sand free. Also have a change of footwear when not on the beach. Gloves and hat are recommended and layers of clothing would be a good idea. While temps in our region are moderate, winds off the ocean can make it feel much colder.

The workshop price is for instruction only. It does not include food, lodging, transportation, incidental expenses, etc. Full payment is required to hold your place.
Cancellation Policy
Full refunds* will be given if registration is canceled more than 30 days before the start of the workshop. Exception: if the workshop was full, payment will only be refunded if the space can be filled. No refunds will be given if the registration is canceled less than 30 days before the workshop.
