Annapolis, Maryland Scenic Harbor

Yesterday I conducted a morning workshop around the Annapolis harbor. It is always a fun day shooting there with the water, nautical subjects and eager to learn photographers. The morning was overcast with flat bright light but I was still able to make a few of my favorite shots there after the workshop ended before the time on the parking meter ran out. I particularly love the waterlines on the boat hulls where they merge with the water, and the way the reflections in the water appear. I will be conducting another Annapolis Harbor shoot in the fall, hope you can join me then.

The aged filter and border was applied here in FX Photo Studio Pro for a toned image look.

  1. These are great, Karen! I "know" some of these boats from spending a lot of time photographing around City Dock.

My favorite of this group is the last one, with "Miss Anne", one of the two Watermark tour boats that take customers up and down Spa Creek on a very pleasant sightseeing cruise. "Miss Anne" and her sister ship have such nice "personalities," which you captured well here.
