Well my trip to the beach as been a little delayed. Christy, my niece and Kevin her husband had a celebration for Steven today and I headed to Ashburn, Virginia instead. It was a beautiful drive, full of summer sights, black eyed susan and daisys in bloom on the side of the road, farm fields fresh cut and new vegetable fields in rows. The trip out Rt. 70 and down route 15 was very nice. Christy hosted a cook out for 30 family members in recognition of Stevens draft into the minor league, the Iron Birds. He reports Monday so there was little time to fit in the celebration. I had a great time with the family. I planned on heading to beach on Monday, however sometimes the universe has other plans. On the way home the Malfunction Indicator Light(MIL) came on in my 2003 Passat, so I pulled over to see if I was OK driving the rest of the way home. Seems like there is an engine malfunction according to the drivers manual so, I'l be heading to the car shop tomorrow morning in stead of to the beach. : - (
